EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY OF TREES FOR PROJECT GREEN’S TREE PLANTING SCHEME + CLARIFICATION NOTE
On October 15, 2025, Project Green launched its Tree Planting Initiative through an Expression of Interest (EOI), inviting landowners across Malta and Gozo to participate by offering their land for a major afforestation and climate resiliency project. As at the closing date of 28 November 2025, the Agency received over 2,000 expressions of interest with more than 115,000 tree registrations covering more than 5 million square metres of land. To ensure that the local market has the capacity to supply thousands of trees during the planting period, Project Green is now moving to the next step by issuing a new Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Supply of Trees under the Tree Planting Scheme. This EOI is directed solely at tree suppliers capable of providing healthy and high-quality trees. Suppliers must ensure that all trees supplied comply with national, environmental, agricultural, biosecurity, and consumer protection regulations. This EOI is intended solely to gather expressions of interest from qualified suppliers, and it does not constitute a binding agreement, an offer to contract, or a commitment by Project Green. Project Green encourages all eligible suppliers to submit their interest on eoi.pg@projectgreen.mt by not later than noon on 16 January 2026 indicating the subject of the EOI.
