In Żabbar, a former tarmacked stretch along a main road has been transformed into a 180-square-metre green space that enhances both the streetscape and daily functionality. Developed as part of a wider urban greening programme, the project introduces planted elements, shaded seating, and water features to create a more inviting environment. With repaved surroundings, a reorganised car park, and a new recreational area, the space offers residents a practical and pleasant place to spend time. Sustainable features, including rainwater collection systems and the integration of an existing reservoir for irrigation, ensure an environmentally conscious and well-balanced urban space.
