In Żabbar, a previously tarmacked area along a main road has been transformed into a 150-square-metre green space that balances urban use with environmental sustainability. Designed as part of a wider greening initiative, the project introduces native planting, shaded seating, and decorative elements to create a more welcoming and attractive streetscape. With repaved surroundings, a reorganised car park, and a newly created recreational area, the space offers residents a pleasant setting for everyday use and relaxation. Sustainable features, including water-conscious landscaping and the integration of an existing reservoir for irrigation, ensure that the site remains both functional and environmentally responsible.
