Project Green has announced that the public consultation on the three national parks – White Rocks, Manoel Island and Fort Campbell – will officially come to an end on Thursday, 30 April.
The announcement follows the launch of the Shape your Space campaign last December, through which Project Green initiated a consultation process and engaged with a wide range of stakeholders, including elderly communities, primary and secondary schools, university students, NGOs, and Local Councils.
The consultation formed part of a wider campaign encouraging the public to submit their ideas and aspirations on how they would like to see these parks developed.
Through the Parks in Malta platform, everyone – from children to adults – has the opportunity to share their views.
Through interactive games, primary school children can participate in Become a Junior Steward, where students can learn more about the history of these sites while also submitting their ideas through activities such as crosswords, drawings, and electronic stickers. Participants can also earn badges and receive a certificate.
Young Voices, another initiative hosted on the Parks in Malta platform, is aimed at young people up to the age of seventeen. Through a dedicated survey, youths can also share their opinions on the future national parks at White Rocks, Manoel Island, and Fort Campbell.
At the same time, adults aged 18 and over can submit their ideas through the Have your Say platform.
With only a few days remaining before the consultation closes, the public is encouraged to submit their ideas by Thursday, 30 April through the following platform:
