RSO2.7 – Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution

The Ġebel San Martin Neighbourhood Regeneration Project is an EU-funded initiative aimed at enhancing the environmental, social and ecological value of public spaces within the Ġebel San Martin area in Żejtun. The project focuses on the regeneration of Ġnien iż-Żgħożija and surrounding green areas, together with the creation of strengthened ecological and pedestrian connections with the Community Garden. The intervention is designed to improve accessibility, biodiversity, walkability and climate resilience through high-quality green infrastructure, nature-based solutions and sustainable urban drainage measures. The project contributes to the development of inclusive, climate-adaptive and sustainable urban spaces in line with EU funding priorities, supporting improved quality of life and strengthened urban resilience within the local context.
